December 23: Learn from Mary

In these final days of Advent, the Church once again invites us to think about all the blessings through which God has showered us with His love and to wholeheartedly thank God for such abundance.  As we continue to watch and wait for the birth of our Savior, during these waning days of the season, may we all see the “great things” the Lord has done for us (like Mary did in Luke 1, 46-56).  Learning from Mary and sharing these blessings with others who are struggling is a concrete way we can “proclaim the greatness of the Lord.”

Let us pray. “Lord God, your Church joyfully awaits the coming of its Savior, who enlightens our hearts and dispels the darkness. Through the intercession of our Mother Mary, continue to pour forth your blessings upon us as we draw near to the end of this holy time and prepare for the festivity of Christmas. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.”
