August 3: Eucharistic Adoration

Our parish dedicates Thursdays to Eucharistic Adoration and we do so, in part, to strengthen the link between the Last Supper of Holy Thursday and our daily celebration of the Eucharist, especially on Thursdays.

Pope Francis has said, “The ‘sense of mystery’ and awe Catholics should experience at Mass is not one prompted by Latin or by “creative” elements added to the celebration, but by an awareness of sacrifice of Christ and His real presence in the Eucharist. Beauty, just like truth, always engenders wonder, and when these are referred to the mystery of God, they lead to adoration.”

“You come to me and unite yourself intimately to me under the form of nourishment. Your Blood now runs in mine, your Soul, Incarnate God, penetrates mine, giving courage and support. What miracles! Who would have ever imagined such!” – St. Maximilian Kolbe
