Jesus tells us on various occasions that the Kingdom of God offers us a new relationship which s more important than any other relationship we have, even that of mother and child. He says that those who seek to fulfill the will of God, by working for justice and solidarity among all people, make up a new family – which is the true family of God.
God is the author of life and the Father of all, and so also the center of this new family. All of the other relationships in our lives have to become secondary to this new one. Thus, we come to realize that what matters most is the bond among us as true brothers and sisters, in a family where neither God nor we exclude anyone.

Jesús nos dice, varias veces, que en el Reino de Dios hay una nueva relación que es más importante que la carnal de madre a hijo o entre hermanos. Los que cumplen la voluntad de Dios de trabajar por la justicia y la fraternidad constituyen una nueva familia, que es la verdadera familia. Y Dios, el autor de la vida y el padre de todos, es el centro de esa familia. Todo lo demás queda en suspenso, hay que dejarlo atrás. Porque lo nuevo, el Reino, impone su ley. No valen componendas ni atajos. No vale espiritualizar las palabras de Jesús. Lo que vale es seguirle y entrar en la dinámica del Reino, de la verdadera fraternidad de los hijos e hijas de Dios que no excluye a nadie.
