Jesus is made present in the Eucharist and the Church has always encouraged us through her teaching, including through the testimonies of her Saints, that we ought to make the Mass the most important part of our week, we ought to receive Communion frequently, and that Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a good and helpful practice for all who seek to be faithful to the Way of the Lord. Through the centuries, the Saints have provided a valuable and helpful witness to the power of the Eucharist in their own lives and the life of the Church.
How can we come to love the Eucharist more and more? According to St. John Paul II, “The Eucharist is the secret of my day. It gives strength and meaning to all my activities of service to the Church and to the whole world. Let Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament speak to your hearts. It is He who is the true answer to all that you seek. He stays here with us: He is God with us. Seek Him without tiring, welcome Him without reserve, love Him without interruption: today, tomorrow, and forever!”
Our parish offers Eucharistic Adoration every Thursday from the morning Mass (at 8:30am) until the Benediction (or Blessing) at 8:30pm. Join us in prayer!

Jesús se hace presente en la Eucaristía y la Iglesia siempre ha alentado a sus fieles, entre ellos muchos Santos, a participar de la Santa Misa, recibir la Comunión, y adorar el Santísimo Sacramento. A lo largo de los siglos, los Santos nos han enseñado, con sus testimonios y mensajes, la importancia de la Eucaristía en la vida católica.
¿Cómo podemos amar más la Eucaristía? Según San Juan Pablo II, “Queridos hermanos y hermanas: debemos sentirnos interpelados por las necesidades de tantos hermanos. No podemos cerrar el corazón a sus peticiones de ayuda. Y tampoco podemos olvidar que ‘no solo de pan vive el hombre.’ Necesitamos el ‘pan vivo bajado del cielo.’ Este pan es Jesús. Alimentarnos de Él significa recibir la vida misma de Dios, abriéndonos a la lógica del amor y del compartir.”
Ofrecemos en la parroquia de Santa Cruz la Adoración todos los jueves desde la Misa (a las 8:30am) hasta la Bendición (a las 8:30pm). Todos están invitados a unirnos en oración.
