We are excited to announce that Mary Jane Webber will be serving serving as the Holy Cross Church and School Case Trainer, Instructional Aide, and school Parent-Partner.
This is a new position that Holy Cross has been working on since last Spring.
Meet Mary Jane
My journey began with my parents, Bill and Lillian Howe who modeled the Catholic faith to me and my six siblings. I grew up in a vibrant parish- Sacred Heart Parish in Medford and then attended the University of Portland earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a Religious Education certificate. In addition, I have completed master's classes at Mt. Angel Seminary in Canon Law.
“The Lord works in mysterious ways” is something my mother would often say. Our twin boys, Michael and William greatly benefited from spending both 7th and 8th grade at Holy Cross School and it is wonderful to be back and as an active member of the Holy Cross community. My passion is evangelization and bringing people to our Lord through my work at the school/parish.
Last school year. I enjoyed leading the CASE training and meeting volunteers. This year, I will be partnering with parents by providing events that foster community and supporting the needs of parents and guardians.
I have over 25 years of experience in parish ministry, and I have ministered at several parishes. While working at St. Pius X, I met my husband, Rick Weber, who is dedicated to faith, family and his 2nd grade students. We have three children. Lily, our oldest, who studied Theology at UMARY and leads a weekly young adult bible study, William is a sophomore at U of P and his twin Michael is serving in the Army Infantry at Schofield Base in Hawaii. My commitment to our Lord brings me here and will thoughtfully and joyfully serve in partnership with the parents and families of Holy Cross. Thank you, Fr. Mark and Ms. Johnson for this opportunity.
