Wow–we had an amazing time last week at Vacation Bible School! Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and families for joining us. On our Quest for Jesus, we learned that Jesus is our light, our shepherd, our friend, our Savior, and our king!
Here are a few highlights from last week:
– on Monday, we started in with our theme song–“He is the Light” and met all of our new friends
– Tuesday, we journeyed through crafts, story, play, and snack, connecting with one another and with Jesus
– on Wednesday, we learned about ways to follow Jesus as our shepherd
– Thursday is the day we shared our love and our mission with the greater community by donating nonperishable items to the St. Vincent de Paul pantry. We brought nonperishable food (canned goods, boxed packaged goods, etc.) We gave all of this food to our St. Vincent de Paul pantry who, in turn, will share this food with the greater North Portland community.
– On Friday, we celebrated our time together at a showcase of the songs, bible stories, scripture verses, and excitement of faith that we have shared throughout the week!
