A Prayer for First Responders
“Good and gracious God, we thank you for the courageous men and women who have chosen the difficult work of being first responders. Keep them safe in every situation, but especially now as they risk their health by assisting others in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Protect their physical, mental, and spiritual health. Help them to remain compassionate in the face of illness, evil, and trauma. Safeguard their families and let them know the strength of our support and prayers. Through the intercession of St. Michael, the Archangel. Amen.”
Mindful of the huge risks to which law enforcement personnel, healthcare workers, and first responders are subject every day as they perform their duties, we invite you to join in a campaign that will encourage and support them. Prayers for these modern heroes are always welcome, but this special campaign will take place on Sunday, April 19.
