Lenten Sacrifice

During Lent the school is encouraging families to give up some of their special luncheons so they can donate as a community. One thing we could do as a parish is to give up a coffee or meal out and take that money and donate to the Lenten Project. Each small step we take will help us come closer to God and the wisdom and knowledge that  God gives to each of us.

Students can give up their Louie’s Pizza or Subway lunch, and donate to charities that help support children and families, one organization is local and the other is global!

  1. IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization): This organization helps local immigrant families. https://irco.org/
  2. Unbound: This organization sponsors children throughout the world and helps the family build self-sufficiency. https://www.unbound.org/Sponsor/HowItWorks

Students who participate will receive a simpler lunch of peanut butter and jelly (or cheese), pretzels, and a piece of fruit.
