Parish Garden Supports Food Pantry

Mrs. D Receives National Honor
Suzanne DeVaney-Wilkes, known fondly by her students as Ms. D, was recognized as a Distinguished Teacher by the National Catholic Education Association for her 5 state region! This is a competitive process and there are only 12 Distinguished Teachers nationally. Holy Cross Catholic School is blessed to have such a talented and committed teacher!!
Catholic Schools' Week
The celebration of Catholic Schools begins on Sunday, January 27. Please invite family, friends, and neighbors to our Open House on this Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to see the benefits of a Catholic education. Spread the word!!

The Jog-a-Thon is on Wednesday, November 21 at the University of Portland Chiles' Center. Please remember - each student is asked to get $50 in pledges. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate in talking to the office!

Holy Cross School Centennial
The school begins observing its centennial, which will include 100 good deeds done by students, displays, a May 19 gathering of alumni and friends, a new website and a special Mass. Theme of the centennial will be "Educating Hearts and Minds for 100 Years." More Info
Archbishop Centennial Mass
Please join us on Wednesday, February 15 at 8:30 a.m. as Archbishop Vlazny celebrates our Centennial year with our students!
University of Portland Men's Basketball Team to Visit on January 9th at 3:30 p.m.
The UP Men's basketball team will be at Holy Cross to share experiences with our students. There will be a discussion led by the UP players, along with some on court demonstrations. There will also be time for questions. Team posters will be given to all students in attendance! Prizes will also be given and time for autographs!
New Paint Job!
Many thanks to the UP volunteers! At Holy Cross School approximately 80 business students (juniors) from the University of Portland worked all day Saturday, October 1 to paint the school’s gymnasium!

Kindergarten in the News!
Stacy Lynn interviewed our kindergarteners today and they will be on the air tomorrow (December 1) at 4:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. on 95.5 FM. The audio will also be online at a later date. We will let you know when we receive that information.
Jog-a-Thon Great Success!
The students did a fantastic job at the Jog-a-Thon. The middle school students encouraged the younger runners to keep going and some even ran with their little buddies! Now, the hard work begins. Please have your children collect the pledge money and turn in to the school beginning this Friday, December 2. Thank you for all your support.
